Tomorrow, we will be having our last classes of the year. If you would like to share your PLP with the class, we will do so tomorrow morning during usual math/science time. 

Lunch will be provided, as well as an afternoon treat. All you need to bring along with you tomorrow are items for the beach walk: comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, a hat, water, swimsuit (optional), towel (even to sit on if you don’t plan on swimming)…

Tomorrow evening is the 8th grade graduation ceremony which will take place in the NMY Courtyard starting at 5PM. We hope to see you there!

Miles to Go Drug Discussion: Share with your parents what you were up to this morning with Kelly, maps, and the history of drugs all over the world. 

Spanish: Escribe un reflexión sobre tu proyecto.

Humanities: (Same as Friday) Write a short (paragraph-length) personal reflection on your final mini project and presentation. These will be due (digitally or in written form) on Tuesday.

POLs: Tomorrow is the big day! What do you need to do tonight to feel best prepared for tomorrow’s rehearsal and actual event? What objects do you need to bring along with you to place into our magical box? We are looking forward to hearing your presentations and what kinds of learning you have been up to! 

PLPs: What are you presenting and preparing for tomorrow’s evening? Have you filled in the Google Form about what room you will be setting up in? Do so as soon as possible :) 

Presentations of Learning will take place starting at 6:30PM in the NMY Common Room. Plan on arriving as early at 6PM.

Humanities: Read Ch. 17 of The Giver. Write a five sentence response, connection or summary of the chapter. We will begin our presentations tomorrow! 

Math/Science: We will continue our science presentations tomorrow along with feedback sharing. Brainteaser is due Friday.

Humanities:

Math/Science: Brainteaser due Friday. From 11-3 and 11-4 on circumference and area, select any fourteen problems to complete. You may use calculator, though it was great to push those brain cells today with some mental math. We will start tomorrow’s class with feedback for A, E, and S, and continue on with science presentations.

Humanities: If you need extra time to work on your essay or your project piece, please spend some time this weekend. You will, however, have some time (20-30 minutes) in class on Tuesday to finalize your projects and presentations. Presentations will begin on Wednesday.

Math/Science: Our May Projects are due to be presented on Tuesday. Take some time to practice your speaking parts over the next few days. 

Spanish: No hay tarea.

POLs: Today you divided up who will be speaking about what during our presentations. Think about what you would like to share with the community about your particular topic (basics vs. details). We will continue on with these next week. 

Yearbook: Congrats on finishing this year long project! Remember to bring in your signed green sheet with details on how many yearbooks you need. You do not  need to pay or bring any money for your copies :)

Humanities:If you need extra time, you may continue working on your five-paragraph essays and Early Civilization mini projects. We will have project time in class tomorrow and perhaps some time Tuesday. Presentations will begin next week.

Math/Science: Select ten problems to complete for homework tonight. Tomorrow is the last day to finish your science projects in class.

Humanities: Continue to work on your corrections and project.

Math/Science: (11-2) area of triangles and trapezoids, evens or odds on either side. We will continue on with science projects tomorrow- how are you doing with meeting your goals?
